Dirk has an abundance of training and practical experience gained over many years. Dirk is highly regarded in the security industry, and an operative that JLSL Risk Mitigation is proud to have secured. As a former member with the Australian Federal Police (AFP) with over 10 years of experience, Dirk acquired skills from performing the roles of a Bomb Appraisal Officer, Counter Terrorist First Response Officer, and various international deployments to the private security sector.

Dirk has also provided training for Police forces in the Middle East and the South Pacific. Upon returning from these deployment assessments, Dirk was employed with Toll Secure as the Risk and Training Manager - Victoria and then with Serco as the Transport and Escort Operations Manager. Dirk is currently a qualified Dog Handler, and heads up JLSL Risk Mitigation's K-9 unit.
